  1.      Make  sure you have the correct modem picked in the MTEZ setup  screen
  2. <Alt>S.   Also   that   your   speed   is   set   correctly    (2400    for
  3. AFX,AMX,AFC,AMC,FC,FX)  (9600 FCV,FXV - 19,200 for V32) Do not use  periods
  4. and try removing commas too (including Options screen).

  6.      If  you have set anything in the OPTIONS screen of MTEZ (or  have  the
  7. wrong  OPTION  picked),  it  may  affect  your  dialing  from  the  Dialing
  8. directory. If the modem dials OK when you type ATDTphonenumber in  terminal
  9. mode,  then this is the most likely cause. Go to the Dialing Directory  and
  10. press "O" for Options screen, and then ERASE everything in there except the
  11. '1'  for long distance (or you can erase the 1 also, and put in your  1  in
  12. the dialing directory entry).

  14.      To  use Options, the phone number must be entered in this  format  for
  15. all  (incl local) calls in the phone book.  xxx-xxx-xxxx Then you  can  use
  16. the prefix in Options for such things as *70, to disable call waiting.

  18.      If you are using prefix or suffix, and run out of entry space,  remove
  19. spaces  and/or dashes in them (not from the phone entry). If you are  using
  20. several  commas, by setting the comma 'longer' (default is 2 seconds),  you
  21. cam eliminate some commas also. Un User Setup  (press <alt>S ) type  ATS8=5
  22. (5 seconds or larger # if you need it).

  24.      The TOTAL of all digits, Prefix, Phonumber & Suffix is 32 chars.
